About Us
Our first on-site classes teaching Greek as a foreign language took place in 2011, while we have been offering online courses since 2020. It was only natural that we created a one-stop platform for everything Greek, so Greekcourses.com was established in 2023, after 2 years of vigorous research.
Our aim is for anyone interested in Greek language and culture to be able to connect with professionals who will guide and support them. In addition, we also cater for those who would like to work at their own pace and time, offering top quality asynchronous learning of the Greek language at different levels, and for different needs.
Greekcourses.com also hosts a free-of-charge podcast channel and blog with a view to offer the world a glimpse of Greek culture and language.
The team
What makes greekcourses.com special are our people. A team of experienced, dedicated, creative and hard-working experts in Greek language teaching.
With a background of university studies in Greece, Cyprus and the UK alongside international experience, we strive to create an environment that values diversity, promotes an inclusive culture, and establishes a sense of belonging for everyone involved.
Each team member brings their unique skills and expertise to the team, making it all the stronger.
Our students
So far we have been delighted to host and teach students from every corner of the world, from Tazmania and New Zealand to Colombia and Brazil and from the USA to Japan and China, while 80% of our students come from all over Europe.
A number of our oversees students have chosen Greece as their home, while the majority have taken up Greek as a hobby!
We also cater for digital nomads who have found a welcoming office in Greece and want to be able to interact easily with the locals.
Immigrants who have just arrived in Greece, seek our support with the language in order to be able find work and adjust smoothly.
Greeks of the diaspora turn to us to re-connect with their Greek heritage through our language classes (both online and on-site) and courses on Greek history and culture.
Sustainability
Online learning is an excellent educational option that offers convenience, reduced costs and a personalized experience.
Online learning reduces the negative environmental impacts that come from manufacturing and transportation. The materials needed for traditional education methods (textbooks, copies, desks, electricity, buildings etc) are dramatically reduced. This means that waste is reduced, C02 emissions lowered and natural resources conserved.
At Greekcourses.com we make it a priority to collaborate with local providers in order to reduce our carbon footprint.
